Established in the winter of 2004, the RFRHS's goal is to one day have a permanent museum to preserve and promote the memories and history of the Reading Fairgrounds Speedway and those who made it "The Home of Champions".
During that summer, a semi - trailer was converted into our first traveling museum making its debut at the 2004 Reading Fair. Items on display include racing helmets, uniforms, trophies, fan club jackets, programs, and photos; plus for a small fee, a driver or owner's name can be placed on the museum in their honor. Subsequently as our membership grew so did the memorabilia donated by fans, drivers, owners and officials leading to the acquisition of our Mini-Museum as both have been a popular attraction at fairs, vintage reunions, parades and car shows. Since 2004, the RFRHS has been a proud supporter of the Reading Racing Reunion & Car Show at the Reading Fairgrounds Mall as well as promoting the two day slingshot nationals at the Reading Fair. 2009 began the annual " Home of Champions" recognizing and honoring individuals for their accomplishments and contributions to both the sport of auto racing and to the Reading Fairgrounds.
The RFRHS meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at Kathryn's Catering, 8380 Allentown Pike, Blandon, Pa, at 7P.M.
